On Sunday,January 10th the club will be a participating in HRU 2010.We will have table setup in the club area located in the cafeteria at this event.

For those of who have never attended HRU It's organizers describe it as follows:

What is HRU? Many of you have already heard of Ham Radio University but the idea may be new to some of you. HRU was created by Phil Lewis, N2MUN. Phil was searching for ways to get inactive hams back into the swing of Amateur Radio. In addition, Phil wanted to help newly licensed hams who ask "What Now?". Since 1999, HRU has been bringing the local ham community together for a special day of learning and fellowship.

For us this year HRU it is vehicle to show the local ham community that HOSARC is alive and well and it will give us a chance to thank all the local hams who signed our petition and who help support us in our dealings with the museum.

It also great way for us to recruit speakers for upcoming meetings besides that you just may learn something about amateur radio in the process.

The event runs from 9:00 AM until 3:30 PM. please visit the official web site for directions and more information at; http://www.hamradiouniversity.org/

We look forward to seeing you at the event and please mark your calendars that our next general meeting will held on January 12th at 8:00 PM
